Here’s your writing prompt for this week’s challenge! It’s a genre smash-up. Not just a mash-up. A SMASH-UP.
Congratulations to Dafydd McKimm for winning last week’s contest!
Yes. One of your genres is … wait for it … pro-wrestling. You see, I’m a bit of a Glow addict. Why? Because wrestling is storytelling in a microcosm. Between those ropes, there are stories. Good and bad guys (or gals), conflict, escalation, and resolution. And it all happens in a few minutes and a handful of wham-bam moves.
I won’t lie. I was a child of the 80’s and I have a weakness for a good spangled leotard and some Spandex tights with high tops.
Your job this week is to choose another genre other than mainstream and SMASH it up with something Glow-inspired.
Good luck!
