Flash Fiction Friday Writing Contest: September 29, 2017 –…

Here’s your writing prompt for this week’s challenge! It’s a genre smash-up. Not just a mash-up. A SMASH-UP.

Congratulations to Dafydd McKimm for winning last week’s contest!

Yes. One of your genres is … wait for it … pro-wrestling. You see, I’m a bit of a Glow addict. Why? Because wrestling is storytelling in a microcosm. Between those ropes, there are stories. Good and bad guys (or gals), conflict, escalation, and resolution. And it all happens in a few minutes and a handful of wham-bam moves.

I won’t lie. I was a child of the 80’s and I have a weakness for a good spangled leotard and some Spandex tights with high tops.

Your job this week is to choose another genre other than mainstream and SMASH it up with something Glow-inspired.

Good luck!

Warning: the trailer is NSFW.

You have from now until Sunday, October 1 at midnight EST to write and post your entry in the Forum.
Entries must be under 1000 words and fit the theme of this week’s prompt.
Entries will be judged on creativity, interpretation of the theme, structure, technical skill, and the overall quality of the writing.
The winning entry will receive a manuscript critique from me.

Due date 9-24? Should that be 10-8?
